READY TO UPGRADE TO THE NEXT LEVEL, NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO TAKE THE COURSE?
Now is the time to get certified for the Upcoming Season. We need coaches!
COACH CLINICS
Coaching Clinics offerred around the Area
U6-U10 Coach Training is online 24/7. You may take the coaching course at http://www.aysotraining.org
If you cannot login with your AYSO ID number you must go to www.eayso.org and complete a volunteer application, print and bring three copies to an AYSO board member for verification and signoff. Once this is done, it will take approximatley 2-5 days for your file to be updated so you can login and take the courses. You must be age specific certified for the age you wish to coach to recieve a team.
If you are a first time coach and have never taken the Safe Haven Coaching course, you will also need to complete this course oneline at www.eayso.org. This is a one time course. You do not need to repeat it each year,
WHY MUST A COACH BE CERTIFIED
CERTIFICATION
All coaches must be certified. Certification is earned by attending a coaches clinic:
-
Youth Clinic (U6, U8, U10, U12)
-
Intermediate Clinic (U12, U14, U16)
-
Advanced Clinic (U16, U19)
If the region lacks enough certified coaches, there will not be enough coaches to coach all of our players.
Certain tournaments starting August 1, 2009 will require coaches to be currently registered AYSO volunteers, AYSO Safe Haven™ certified and have AYSO coach training at or above the level of the team they will be coaching. For more information Coach Certification/Training Policy AYSO tournaments that include participation by more than one section or are open to non-AYSO teams or to international teams, MUST be approved at the national level. Those tournaments not falling into these categories but wish to have exposure on this Web site must also be approved at this level. For further information, write to tournaments@ayso.org.
AYSO Invitational = Open to all AYSO teams in stated divisions
AYSO Open Invitational = Open to AYSO and non-AYSO teams
Note: If open to non-AYSO teams, but only within a certain geographic area, it is still an Open Invitational
Section = Open to AYSO teams from that Section
Area = Open to AYSO teams from that Area
